District Operations Update - 4-4-2020
We want to take this moment to say thank you to all of our students, parents, guardians, grandparents, and community members who have worked this week to transition to online learning. Some of you have asked if these lessons are required, and starting this coming week, lessons will be scored, and scores will be put into ProgressBook. It is important for students to stay engaged and complete the assignments so that they are prepared for the 2020-2021 school year.

All of our employees are working hard to develop and present meaningful lessons, which provides continuous learning opportunities for students while they are away from school.

We also want to thank all of those students and even some alumni who had fun and participated in our Virtual Spirit Week. We will be participating in Ohio’s Military Family Spirit Week on April 13-17, 2020. The themes will be posted to our website and social media tomorrow for everyone to see.

Here are a few notes about the upcoming week:

Starting Monday, all intermediate school students will begin accessing individual Google Classrooms for their teachers. The login process is still the same. Students will not need a classroom code; all intermediate students have been added to their google classrooms. All they have to do is login like normal and click on the appropriate classroom to access lessons.

If you login and don’t see your teacher’s class, don’t panic, just email your teacher or call the school and leave a message letting them know you need added to the course.

Preschool and elementary school will continue to distribute their classes the same way as they have been. So, everyone in Pre-K – 3rd will go to the same places they did last week to access course material.

We are currently updating web pages with links to special education, mental health, and general health resources for those of you who may be looking for this information. We will be continually adding resources to these pages as they become available.

For those of you who receive “Grab and Go” meals, remember that we are now distributing meals only on Mondays from 11am – noon in front of Hamilton Township High School. Given the latest requests regarding everyone wearing masks when you are doing public activities, we ask for everyone to wear a mask when they are picking up something from us. Our volunteers are being required to wear a mask as well to protect all of those who are visiting us.

Remember, if you have any trouble accessing information on our website or other online resources we are providing, please contact us and leave a detailed message including your name and phone number and we will call you back.

Again, we want to thank you for your patience and working with us as we launch our online classrooms and resources. We don't want you to panic about any of this because we are here to help you and your student. All you have to do is call us at 614-491-8044 or email your child’s teacher with your questions.

We hope all of you are safe, we miss you, and please remember that we are here to help because we in this together.
