District completes required safety drill
At 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, we conducted a district-wide safety drill to comply with state requirements and test our procedures. Each drill gives us an opportunity to evaluate the responses of our students and employees in a real-time manner. Local law enforcement officials observe and provide our district with feedback immediately following each safety drill. This gives us an opportunity to discuss and further evaluate/improve our district's safety protocols.

"We know everyone across our country has a heightened awareness of school safety, and we want everyone to know that we conducted this drill with care in order to minimize any anxiety students may have upon initiation of this required drill," shared Hamilton Local Superintendent Mark Tyler. "We want our community to understand that we are fully committed to providing the safest possible environment for our students and employees. Each time we are able to complete a drill, we increase our chances to have successful outcomes in events connected to student/employee safety."

If this were an actual emergency situation, we would have notified you as such through our automated call system, district website, and social media accounts (Facebook & Twitter).
