I would like to nominate Ameerah Osman for April's Star Student. Ameerah has a bubbly personality that is contagious. She is always pleasant to be around and is willing to help others when the need arises. Over the course of the school year, Ameerah has worked extremely hard to earn Honor Roll during each 9 week period. She consistently turns in her homework and class assignments. When assignments or content get tough, Ameerah perseveres; nothing gets her down. She is a great advocate for herself and is comfortable talking to any of her teachers to get clarification. She has even participated in after-school tutoring to ensure she is getting the most out of her education.
This young lady has a passion for writing; her words can be transformed into poetry or song lyrics - which she will proudly perform for anyone who wants to listen. Ameerah has also used this talent to participate in local choirs and would like to pursue a career in singing or acting. Because she possesses so many admirable qualities, I am nominating Ameerah for Star Student.
