Vaccinations Needed For Incoming Kindergarten and 7th Grade Students
Parents and Guardians,
Please make certain your child has had the following vaccinations and doses prior to the start of the 2012-13 school year.
If your child is going into 7th grade:
They
will need a Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) booster. Tdap is
the preferred booster because it provides vital protection against
pertussis, which is commonly known as "whooping cough."
If your child is going into kindergarten they will need the following vaccinations and doses:
Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis: 5 doses
Polio: 4 doses
Hepatitis B: 3 doses
Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (Chicken Pox): 2 Doses
