Transportation Department Is More Green Following Addition of New Emissions Solution
Our district is always looking for ways to make operations more efficient and cost-effective, and recently took advantage of Ohio EPA's Clean Diesel School Bus Fund Retrofit Program. This program has generously provided a grant to our school district's Department of Transportation that afforded the purchase of new emissions systems for nearly half of our bus fleet.

HTHS Faculty Member Receives Nation's Highest Mathematics Teaching Honor
Hamilton Township High School teacher, Carole Morbitzer was chosen to receive the State of Ohio's Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching for her efforts to educate the students of Hamilton Local Schools. This is the highest honor a primary/secondary math or science teacher can receive for their work. 
Fitzgerald Selected To Guide District's Office of Athletics
Mr. Ryan Fitzgerald has been named the newest Director of Athletics for the Hamilton Local School District. He will begin his transition into the position during the remainder of the school year, and will assume full responsibilities on August 1, 2012. 
HTHS Alum Promoted To Assistant Principal Of Alma Mater
Mr. Michael Morbitzer is the newest Assistant Principal of Hamilton Township High School, and will begin transition into this position immediately.

Kids Voting USA selected HTHS social studies teacher, Mr. Lanthorn, as the national Educator of the Year for superior performance in educating his students about civic responsibility and involvement. He will be honored during a special event in Washington, DC on March 29, 2012.
